White is always black

As most of you know, we live in one of the most expensive province in the country. So to be able to get into the place we have right now we had to move up/down a lot! Within 14 months we bought and sold and moved 4 times. With a kid, while pregnant, with a newborn.

Needless to say, we had to be always open house ready. That’s when I realized I had to strategize. I researched and researched and came up with a plan to have everything white. Hah, how does that make sense?

White is one of the colours you can spot treat, you can bleach and, worst comes to worst, you can re-dye!

It goes beautifully with marble surfaces, which are in their turn perfect for wiping those school painting projects, play-doh cooking sessions and spilled hot chocolates.

And if you are a décor fanatic, you know you can change your accent pieces (like cushions) to make your look different without spending a fortune. So check, check and check.

Here are my besties:

Couches, beds, table and bed linens etc.

Walls, counters, sinks and bathtubs. Note: Be gentle. If you rub too hard or too long it will remove the paint.

Lastly, to make your furniture last, buy your soft furniture pieces that you can easily take of covers and through them in the washer. And voila, you have a fresh and sparkling white room!
